Make Noise Today along with our Youth Ambassadors is moderating an Asian American Youth Roundtable, a platform for YOU to discuss the topics and issues that matter most.

In recognition of Asian American Pacific Islander Month, we’ll dig deeper into Asian American identity, stereotypes and representation in the media and beyond. We want to know what YOU think. Join us as we discuss with you and your peers.

    Make Noise Today’s Innaugural Virtual Youth Roundtable! Great disussion on the Asian “Model Minority Myth” and how your peers in the Asian American community feel about it. How it came about and how it negatively affects our community.

  • The Moth x MNT: A Virtual Storytelling Experience

    Saturday, February 3rd, 2024

    To assist students in finding their voice and stories, Make Noise Today collaborated with The Moth for a unique virtual assembly. The objective was to provide “story seeds” to the youth audience and inspire their own stories.

  • Bring The Noise Student Contest and Exhibit

    Student contest and exhibition to commemorate AAPI Heritage Month and Mental Health Awareness Month.

  • Book Reading and Reception

    Join us in celebrating two amazing authors: Phi Su, author of “The Border Within: Vietnamese Migrants Transforming Ethnic Nationalism in Berlin”, and Anthony Ocampo, author of “Brown, Gay in L.A.: The Lives of Immigrant Sons”. This promises to be a wonderful event, filled with insight and inspiration.

  • Palate for Learning

    An evening of culinary delights and learnings to benefit TeachAAPI. Dinner presented by Chef Katianna Hong and Chef John Hong of Yangban Society.

  • Recipe for Change - Japan House LA

    Make Noise Today collaborated with restaurant consultant and former restaurateur Andy Nakano. The event hosted award-winning chefs in Los Angeles for a fundraising dinner at Japan House Los Angeles.

  • “Letters To…” Exhibition

    Students nationwide wrote letters to themselves, family, teachers, mentors, peers, bullies, future children, etc., on the subject of race, ethnicity, and identity. Winners and select letters are featured at a live exhibition at the Billie Jean King Library.

  • Recipe for Change + Toyota

    With the help of TOYOTA, we chose 3 chefs/restaurateurs around the country, to sponsor to feed frontline and essential workers, as well as the Asian community in need, while sharing a little bit of their cultural heritage with us.
